Congresswoman Carolyn Maloney has re-introduced in the 116th Congress her two bills targeted to helping US Citizens living and working overseas.

HR-4363 “The Commission on Americans Living Abroad Act of 2019” is co-sponsored by Congressman Donald Beyer (D-VA) and Congresswoman Dina Titus (D-NV).  The Bill seeks to create a government commission to investigate the issues affecting Americans living and working overseas.

HR-4362 “The Overseas Americans Financial Access Act”, also co-sponsored by Congressman Donald Beyer (D-VA), would provide safe harbour for Americans who qualify for residence in a foreign country under the rules of Section 911.  This is similar to ACA’s proposal for “Same Country Exemption”.
