Are you a US citizen living and working overseas either full-time or part-time? Are you a US citizen thinking of moving overseas?  Then join ACA the largest non-profit, nonpartisan, Washington, DC based organization that advocates to the US Congress and the Administration on behalf of US citizens living and working overseas.

ACA has a 45 plus year history of educating, advocating and providing results to US citizens living and working overseas.

ACA advocates for practical and implementable solutions to resolve the legislative and regulatory issues impacting US citizens overseas.

ACA is the premier thought-leader on legislative and regulatory issues affecting US citizens overseas. 

ACA is the only non-partisan, non-profit organization headquartered in the Washington, DC area, representing overseas US Citizens' issues directly to the US Congress and Administration.

ACA has access to key offices in the Legislature and Administration and  collaborates with other stakeholders based in Washington, DC. - consultancies, think tanks, research and advocacy organizations.

ACA informs the community, stakeholders, Congress and the Administration through its website, Facebook, and Twitter.   

ACA engages with international and US media with press releases, interviews and feature articles to insure coverage of the issues.

Exclusive to ACA membership:

American Citizens Abroad, Inc. is organised as a qualified section 501(c)(4) non-profit social welfare organization. This allows ACA to be more official and effective in our contacts with Congress and the Administration and in our work advancing the interests of the millions of Americans living abroad.

Alongside American Citizens Abroad, Inc. is American Citizens Abroad Global Foundation (ACAGF), which is a qualified, tax-exempt section 501(c)(3) organization. This organization is ACA’s sister organization focusing on educating Congress, the Executive Branch and the public on subjects affecting Americans residing outside the US.  Contributions to it are tax-deductible.  See http://acaglobalfoundation.org.

Yearly membership dues are payable on a once-a-year renewal basis calculated from the day you join.  Once paid, membership dues are not refundable.

Please be advised that you do not automatically receive an SDFCU account by being a member of ACA.  You must apply for the account after becoming a member of ACA, and ACA cannot guarantee you will be approved by SDFCU for an account.  Click here for an explanation of the application process.
