ACA Geneva Chapter Event - June 8, 2026
On June 8th, ACA hosted an ACA Chapter event in downtown Geneva, Switzerland.
Chapter Chair Roland Crim and ACA Executive Director Marylouise Serrato led the event and reported to members on current advocacy efforts in Washington, DC. They updated the attendees on the status of Congressman LaHood and Senator Youngs' legislative efforts for Residence-based taxation and advocacy efforts to ensure overseas voting rights and upcoming advocacy efforts for Medicare equality. ACA stressed the importance of research and data to support all the advocacy issues. They also spoke about the organization's commitment to ongoing research projects. They noted that community support is essential to realize these goals. After the presentation, ACA members enjoyed light refreshments and were able to speak with Roland and Marylouise about their issues and their experiences living and working overseas.
ACA encourages all Geneva/Lausanne members to join our Chapter events. ACA plans to host another event in the Fall with more updates on our advocacy work. In the interim, ACA encourages all our members to participate in our fundraising efforts for American 250: Citizens Everywhere. Home and Abroad Always Americans.
