IRS Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program

Did you know that U.S. citizens overseas can qualify for the IRS’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program that offers free basic tax return preparation and electronic filing to qualified individuals?

The Internal Revenue Service /Stakeholder Partnerships Education & Communication (SPEC) collaborates with partners to provide free tax education and assistance through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) and Tax Counseling for the Elderly (TCE) programs. These programs educate taxpayers about tax credits, tax responsibilities, and other topics, like identity theft and the child tax credit.

Do you qualify for VITA assistance?
