ACA's Latest Update on Residency-Based Taxation (RBT)

Work continues on Residency-based taxation (RBT). At today’s House floor session, Congressman Holding acknowledged the need for Residency-based taxation (RBT) for Americans living and working overseas. Now that corporate taxation is taking a territorial approach so must the policy for Americans overseas. Congressman Brady, Chairman of the House Ways & Means, responded to Congressman Holding’s comment acknowledging that the Committee will continue to work on RBT. ACA is working with offices in the Senate to advocate for RBT's inclusion in the Senate Finance Committee tax reform bill.
