ACA Berlin Chapter Event - June 11, 2026
On June 11, 2026, American Citizens Abroad held its inaugural German Chapter Meeting in Berlin, bringing together Americans and dual citizens living in Germany for an evening focused on advocacy, taxation, and civic engagement abroad.
The event introduced the chapter’s leadership and provided attendees with an opportunity to engage in substantive discussions about the issues affecting Americans overseas. The agenda featured remarks from ACA leadership and guest speakers, reflecting a broad range of perspectives from the American community in Germany. This cross-community engagement underscored the importance of working across political affiliations to address shared challenges facing U.S. citizens abroad.
A central focus of the meeting was ACA’s advocacy work in Washington, D.C., particularly the continued push for residency-based taxation. Attendees discussed how current tax policy affects families, professionals, entrepreneurs, retirees, and dual citizens living outside the United States, while also exploring practical advocacy strategies, coalition-building efforts, and next steps for advancing meaningful reform.
Throughout the evening, participants exchanged ideas on policy priorities and the role that organized, informed advocacy can play in improving the lives of Americans overseas. The discussions highlighted a shared objective: advancing practical, constructive solutions that support U.S. citizens and dual citizens living abroad.
The meeting also provided valuable opportunities for community engagement and connection. Attendees shared experiences, built relationships, and continued conversations during a reception following the formal program. The event reflected what effective advocacy requires—thoughtful discussion, active participation, and a community willing to engage on issues that affect Americans around the world.
