IRS has announced resumption of referral of cases to the State Department to revoke the passports of seriously delinquent taxpayers
Now that the IRS is resuming notifications for passport revocations, ACA will be advocating on the issue with our contacts at the IRS and the US State Department to ensure that Americans overseas are not adversely affected by this policy. ACA met with the IRS and the US State Department in 2020 and has been an advisory to these offices, educating them on issues facing overseas taxpayers.
