Let Your Representatives in Congress Know Your Concerns Over Overseas Voting
ACA supports ensuring the integrity of our voting process but is concerned over attempts to disenfranchise U.S. citizens living and working overseas. Recently there have been several attempts to put into question the right of U.S. citizens overseas to vote by mail-in ballot. Voting rights for Americans abroad was one of the founding issues of the organization, and ACA will continue to defend the right of U.S. citizens overseas to vote. U.S. citizens overseas have a Constitutional right to representation and a voice in Congress. They are a valuable asset for the United States economically and as a source of soft diplomacy. All U.S. citizens should be encouraged to engage with their government, including those living and working abroad.
